Gareth Williams

Gareth joined the Digital Engineering Group in 1993. He initially worked on a mixed-mode ASIC development for the in-vehicle unit for TRACKER Networks, the stolen vehicle recovery system in the UK. He was also involved in the FPGA development for the Formula 1 Telemetry System developed by Plextek. He has successfully Project Managed a variety of complex multi-disciplinary projects including infrastructure equipment for TRACKER, the outdoor unit of a novel Wireless Mesh Network and, more recently, a wireless Medical Telemetry system, following this product from initial paper concept through to trials in hospitals and then to production and installation in hospitals.

Prior to Plextek he worked for BAE Space Systems in Stevenage, where he designed flight hardware test equipment and a digital ASIC for use in a star sensor project.
