Dr Graham
Maile
Strategic Consulting Director
Graham Maile has over 25 years experience in
the telecommunications industry, much of which has been associated
with the development and introduction of new digital communications
systems.
In recent years, Graham has specialised in
the application of his technical knowledge to the strategic development
of telecommunications
organisations, including manufacturers, network operators,
investors and regulators. He has helped a number of Plextek’s
clients prepare for entry into the 3G/UMTS market, participating
in their
technology development, licence bidding and business strategy.
For two years he was chairman of UKTAG, the UK Third Generation
Advisory Group, which advised the Government on policy matters
relating to the definition, standardisation and implementation
of 3G mobile systems.
Before joining Plextek Graham worked in
R&D, management and business start-up roles at Philips
Telecommunications, ERA Technology, PA Consulting Group,
Generics Group plc and Quotient
Communications. For the last 12 years, his experience has
been at board level.
Graham is a Natural Science and Electronics
graduate. He gained his PhD from the University of Cambridge
for the first
application of the method of finite elements to solve three-dimensional
electromagnetic problems – a technique which has
since become well established.
Graham has spoken at numerous conferences
and has had articles published on a range of topics.
He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical
Engineers, a Registered European Engineer, a Fellow of
the Cambridge
Philosophical Society and a Member of the Institute of
Directors. |
