Digital IP Library
Plextek
maintain an internal library of in-house developed functions in order to allow
us to quickly, reliably and cost effectively implement the complexity that
modern design typically requires. Our Intellectual Property includes various
implementations of numerous Digital Signal Processing functions, including:
Filters:
- Real FIRs (eg Root Raised Cosine)
- Complex FIRs (eg correlators,
equalizers)
- IIRs
- Decimators
- Interpolators
- Adaptive Equalisers
- FFTs
FEC building blocks:
- Reed-Solomon codecs
- Turbo coders
- Viterbi
- BCH codecs
- CRC generators
Miscellaneous functions:
- Modulators (QPSK, QAM16, QAM
64, BPSK, GMSK, etc)
- Demodulators (QPSK, QAM16, QAM
64, BPSK, GMSK, etc)
- Upconverters
- Downconverters
- Complex multipliers
- CORDIC
- FIFOs
- UARTs
- I2C (master and slave)
- PCMCIA interface
- PCI
These building blocks are implemented in synthesisable VHDL and are, in most
cases, very portable thus allowing silicon vendor independence.
Even more important than our library
of Intellectual Property is our knowledge of how to apply it. We have found
that many designs require similar, but not identical, blocks of IP. We are
able to customise our IP in order to provide a design implementation optomised
for throughput or size, in order to best meet the needs of the application.
Our thorough knowledge of programmable logic technology and associated design
methods (and tools) allows us to design solutions that are implemented
efficiently in silicon, yet written in a manner to allow ongoing support,
development and evolution. Please contact us
with your requirements.
