Plextek organises IET Seminar on the latest advances in RF and microwave IC design

Issued 9/01/2008

Liam Devlin, director of RF integration at Cambridge-based electronics and communications design consultancy Plextek, is organising and hosting an IET seminar to discuss the latest developments in RF and microwave IC design. Taking place at Savoy Place, London, on 28th February 2008, the seminar is aimed at designers, engineers, IC marketing engineers and academics and researchers in the RF and microwave design field.

The seminar will cover topics including highly integrated transceivers, RFID technology, broadband frequency converters and high-speed data acquisition ICs, to name a few. Organisations presenting their latest developments include Analog Devices, Tyco and QinetiQ. The event also includes a presentation describing the exciting development of GaAs MOSFET technology at Glasgow University.

"This is an incredibly fast moving area," said Devlin. "Just look at the ever increasing levels of integration and the continued push to higher operating frequencies for examples of this. Attendees of this seminar will have the opportunity to learn new techniques and gain a technical and commercial insight into the latest developments in this area."
