Plextek's Liam Devlin joins International Microwave Symposium's Exhibitor
Advisory Committee
Issued 19/05/2009
Plextek showcases innovative microwave solutions and expertise
at IMS
Liam Devlin, Director of RF Integration at Cambridge-based electronics
and communications design consultancy Plextek, has become an invited
member of the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium's Exhibitor
Advisory Committee (EAC) in recognition of his experience and expertise
in the field of microwave and RF design. The IMS EAC was formed to create
a structured dialog between the exhibitors and the IMS organisers. During
his three-year tenure, Devlin will work closely with EAC to provide
expert direction on how IMS can continue to grow and best serve the
needs of exhibitors and attendees in light of ongoing shifts in technology,
industry and media.
Liam Devlin commented: "I'm delighted to have been invited to
join this group of leading industry professionals and be able to play
a part in the ongoing success of IMS. The symposium is a great event
and one that is very valuable to Plextek. As an exhibitor I have a vested
interest in making sure IMS continues to evolve and address the industry
issues that really matter and am really relishing the challenge ahead."
Plextek along with Devlin will be exhibiting at the 2009 Symposium
in Boston, USA (7-12th June) where the company will showcase its innovative
microwave solutions and expertise. In particular, Plextek will focus
on demonstrating its design expertise in GaAs MMICs, high power solid
state microwave amplifiers, low noise, fast switching microwave synthesizers
and custom microwave and mm-wave subsystems. Plextek's engineers have
years of experience in the design of microwave components, modules and
systems and have an in-depth understanding of the techniques that must
be adopted. A range of interesting demos will be available on Plextek's
booth 2431 throughout the show.
