Plextek shows a way forward for optoelectronics at microelectronics conference

Dr Steve Methley, who leads optoelectronics work at Plextek, the independent electronics design consultancy, will be an invited speaker at MicroTech 2004 - an annual international conference for organisations and individuals involved in microelectronics.

During the first session on Photonics and Communications in his presentation called "Optical Ethernet Dash Shapes the Future for Optoelectronics Integration", Steve will share his experience and offer some insight into the future of commercial applications expected to drive optoelectronics and the microelectronics industry.

The conference, including a tabletop exhibition, will be held on 3-4 March at the Møller Centre in Cambridge. It is organised by the UK branch of the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS), the largest microelectronics and packaging society in the world with over 50 branches in more than 20 countries. Steve Methley will join speakers from academia and industry drawn from throughout Europe as they present the latest developments and innovations in microelectronics.
