Plextek employee finds untouched territory on mountaineering expedition to Asia

Plextek employee Tony Allen has just returned from a mountaineering expedition to the remote and rarely visited Borkoldoy range in the central Tien Shan, Asia. Since only two previous expeditions had visited the range in Krygyzstan, all the expedition's achievements were in completely untouched and virgin territory. The expedition members made first ascents on 12 mountains in total. Tony personally climbed seven of these; Peak Sineil (4410m), Peak Mars (4905m), Peak Virgo (4744m), PE Peak (4740m), Thunder Peak (4850m), Survey Peak (4915m) and Magnificent Seven (4595m). With a high avalanche danger, his attempt on an eighth peak had to be aborted just 50m from the summit.

When not climbing mountains, Tony, a Radio Consultant, from the electronics design consultancy works in the radio frequency design field on various projects such as a recent 2.5G multimedia smart phone among others.
