Press Release

Plextek investing in partners overseas

Cambridge-based electronics design house Plextek will seek new business opportunities when it attends the inaugural Global Technology Partnering Expo on 11 March at Hinxton Hall. The new event - the first-ever of its kind in the region - is being held to specifically introduce technology businesses from the East of England to visiting national and international companies through a series of brokered personal meetings as well as an exhibition and a seminar programme.

Demonstrating the keen interest in, and the importance of, the region's technology businesses, over 40 overseas companies have signed up to visit from 16 different countries that come from as far afield as China, Australia, India, Mexico, Canada, Israel, USA and a number of EU countries.

The event will also showcase key innovations, with particular emphasis on wireless, e-health and environmental monitoring. Global Partnering Expo is just one activity in the networking initiative for technology-based organisations in the East of England called Collaborate2Innovate. Launched in September last year, the programme of activities is aimed to increase opportunities for technology companies within the region, that includes the many innovative and enterprising companies located in the Cambridge to Ipswich Hi-Tech corridor.
